Jet lagged, but home safely

In the past two weeks I managed to travel thousands of miles by air, bus, train and boat. I stepped foot in four countries, ate local cuisines, drank about a barrels worth of wine since it was the cheapest liquid to drink, and got to know people from all over the world (including New Jersey, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada). Since there is so much to tell, I thought I would write my next few posts on things that happened or trends I noticed across the pond. In the mean time, I have some pics to share and summarize the trip:

I had a chance to see some amazing works of art on the beach (Nice, France)

I did what I can to make sure things didn't come tumbling down on us (Pisa, Italy)
Hung out in the Pope's courtyard with Ash and Mitch (Vatican City):

Experienced the Fiesta de Paloma (Madrid, Spain)

Checked out the walled city of Carcassonne (France):

Met a guy named David, but he was a little too tall for me (Florence, Italy):

Checked out the unknown beach hangouts of the Mediterranean (Alan & I in Cinque Terra, Italy):
The first night set the pace for the rest of the trip (Madrid, Spain):

Spent many nights in the piazzas and plazas enjoying the culture (Rome, Italy)

I even managed to be reminded of my family throughout the trip (San Gimignano, Italy)

This is just a taste of the past two weeks. It was an amazing trip, but on top of that I met some great people that I hope to see again and maybe meet up somewhere else in the world. It is a little odd not to wake up in a hotel and have a croissant for breakfast this morning, but after two weeks I think it was time to get home. More stories and pictures to follow though....enjoy.
