Feast of Seven Fishes
Christmas Eve in any Italian household is almost as important as Christmas day is in other homes. We tend to celebrate the birth of Jesus with the Feast of Seven Fishes, also known as La Vigilia. It is a meatless feast of seafood dishes in anticipation for the birth of Jesus (Vigilia de Natale) or in our case, midnight mass. I used to despise this seafood dinner, but I have grown to enjoy it a little more each year. This year there is an absence of crab and lobster, but we have the following:

why was i not invited!!! i looooooooooooooooooove shell fish.
we tried this last year, cept it was about 10 fish kinds, no joke. bad idea when its all fish fish and not shell.
